The role of the Account Sales & Marketing Executive includes being familiar with the totality of the company’s service and knowing all the products as well as having the ability to make a sale without any problems.
Duties and responsibilities
The Account Sales & Marketing Executive will have many different duties and responsibilities that they have to fulfill, such as day to day liaising via a contact method which can include email and telephone calls. Candidates will also oversee Social Media campaigns which include but are not limited to: research, campaign & content creation, execution, monitoring and reporting. This is a normal entry-level position for new graduates or those with 2 to 3 years prior experience. A background in sales, advertising, or marketing can be beneficial to candidates for this career. This job role includes many different responsibilities such as:
- Preparing regular client reports and attending client meetings
- Developing sales and marketing strategies
- Developing plans to target new customers
- maintaining information on projects and clients;
- assisting in the preparation of presentations to clients;
- carrying out a variety of administrative tasks
Generally, an account executive has a selling quota that must be met or exceeded within a certain period, which can require significant time communicating with clients.
In addition to working on existing accounts, account executives will also be responsible for finding and obtaining new customers and clients, typically within an assigned territory. Expanding business can involve cold-calling or prospecting, as well as attending seminars, conventions, and trade shows or making in-person presentations to potential customers
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create timely and engaging content optimized for platform used and intended audience.
- Monitor our website for customer service opportunities and initiate conversations with potential clients.
- Be happy, smile, and bring a positive attitude to the job
- Analyze and report social media actions on a monthly basis for successes and new opportunities.
- Create engaging and professional visuals that reflect our brand (Customize social media pages (ex. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube), develop supporting offline collateral, create original content, etc).
- Stay current with social media trends and tools – includes attending networking and educational events, reading blogs, and listening to podcasts.
- Continue to refine and define our social marketing process.
- Create a solid branding message that’s reflected across our marketing materials, social media content and generally the company philosophy
- Our industry is in the automotive online sector, so a passion for cars is a plus
- An inquisitive mind and a desire to learn on a daily basis on new trends in the industry and on the online platform
You will usually be involved in all stages of the process, making sure a campaign runs smoothly. You have to keep everybody involved in the campaign informed and up to date and provide central administrative support to the team.

Salary
Salary will be on a commission basis, though there will be a retainer of Ksh15,000 per month. Successful employees are expected to average at least ksh 100,000 per month in commissions
